Getting to know: The Peoples FC

Today’s ‘Getting to Know’ is about a club who aren’t part of a league yet and has been around less than a year. But what they stand for makes them just as, if not more important than some clubs with both of these things.

The Peoples FC, founded on the back of a tragedy that saw a man take his own life, is a team that play in a variety of charity matches for a number of huge causes.

After the founder’s own battle with PTSD following him finding his friend, a battle that he is still fighting, he decided to turn a horrible experience into something good. Starting the Peoples FC, a Charity team that posts all it’s games on Youtube to help spread awareness for mental health charities and any others that went their help.

They have raised awareness for some huge charities such as Cancer Research and the Heart4more foundation.

The club also host huge exhibition games every 6 months, to help the family of his friend that passed away.

From everyone here at ‘ClimbingTheLadder’ we’d just like to wish everyone at The Peoples FC all the best for the future and keep up the great work on and off the pitch.
