Getting to Know: FC Baresi

We are back! After a brief hiatus, we just couldn’t stay away from writing ‘Getting to Know’s’ and doing our bit for grassroots and non-league football.

These articles aren’t going to be anywhere near as frequent as they were prior to our break however they are set to return as our weekly effort to draw attention and give some free press to Non-League sides across the UK.

First up for us is a trip to FC Baresi in Walthamshaw, London.

Founded in 1997, the Essex Alliance League side have had a very successful yet short history. Going into their 12th season, Baresi have very quickly climbed the Essex Alliance League ladder, moving from Division three in 2017 and winning both the League and Cup double, to reaching the top division in the Essex Alliance, the premier division, for the 2019-20 season.

After winning Division One last year, Baresi will be looking to make their home ground at the Britannia Sports Ground a fortress and will look to retain their spot in the Premier Division. The lads have got off to a great start in doing this, after two games winning one and losing one they look set to do just that.

Winning three trophies in two years is no small feat, no matter what level you are playing at, therefore we’d just like to take a moment to congratulate Baresi on all their recent success and long may it continue.

After the title race in Division One of the Essex Alliance League going down to the wire, with Baresi securing the title with a draw in the final game fo the season. We hope that the lads have a much more relaxed season, unless its in the title race of course, because who doesn’t love a nail biter!
